The Ultimate Play Day is being held Thursday May 1st at the South Surrey Athletic Park. Finalized schedules have been posted in the "Ultimate" section of the SESAA Sports pull-down menu. A big "thank you" to Kim Buchanan and Paul Thompson for all of their hard work in making this a great Ultimate season for students and coaches!

The Ross Davidson Coaching Excellence Award

The Surrey Elementary Schools Athletic Association would like to recognize outstanding coaches who have given over and above to our district. If you know someone who fits the criteria listed below, please email nominations to Erik Henderson prior to May 5th, 2014 to [email protected]  and provide a rationale how the candidate meets the criteria below.  This award will be presented at the up coming AGM on May 22nd, 2014 at Eaglequest.


Criteria for Nomination for Ross Davidson Coaching Excellence Award

1. The recipient must be an employee of the district.

2. The recipient must model and uphold SESAA goals (from our handbook).

3. The recipient must be nominated by another employee of the district.

4. The recipient must have given “over and above” service to the students in SD36.

            For Example:

      a) Coaching many sports over a period of years.

      b) Serving on the executive or in the background as support.

      c) Service to athletics over a period years.

      d) Hosting tournaments and events.


The 20 Year Coaching Recognition Award

Please let us know if you have any 20 year coaches at your school, who have not yet received a plaque from SESAA to acknowledge their long service contribution to District Athletics. These awards will also be presented at the up coming AGM on May 22nd, 2014.  Please see the handbook online (page 62) to determine if the person you are nominating has received the award.  Email names to Erik Henderson prior to MAY 5TH, 2014:       [email protected]
