Registration Deadline for Elementary Soccer Playdays

Hi soccer coaches! Hope you are all having a successful start to your school soccer season. As Play Day is just around the corner, there have been some questions regarding dates. To clarify:

Boys A Play Day will be held Wednesday, October 9th, Girls Play Day on Thursday, October 10th, and Co-Ed Play Day will be on October 16th.

Hope this helps! I will send out more information next week on Play Day once the registration deadline passes next Wednesday. An important reminder that next Wednesday, September 25th is the final deadline for registering your school's soccer teams. Please ensure your school is signed up so that I can begin coordinating the final soccer Play Days. Registration can be done in our Soccer Section of our Blog/Website.

Thanks for your time and dedication to coaching soccer this season. The students appreciate it as well!

Thank you Volleyball Coaches! Basketball Coming Soon to a Court Near You!

THANK YOU to all the volleyball coaches who dedicated their time and efforts to giving the best of themselves to coach students this year. I know from all the games I watched this year the students understanding of the game grew immensely through the season.

A BIG THANK YOU also to our Zone Reps who co-ordinated all the schedules for the 100 Surrey Elementary schools participating in Boys, Girls, Coed, A, and B leagues and Playdays. Ixchel Bradley-Buick, Steve Swaddling, Mat Zadvorny, Martin Wheeler, Elizabeth Hinman, Phil Turcotte, and Raminder Rhandawa are all Surrey teacher and administrator who generously and thoughtfully volunteer because they believe in the power of sport.

Finally, on behalf of SEAS, a GIGANTIC THANK YOU goes out to new Volleyball Convenor, Jennifer Tarnowski for all the behind the scenes expertise and hard work she did to ensure a successful and fun season. Lots of work goes into organizing our seasons, and we are grateful for the strength of character and hard work these people do on a daily basis to make sure sport is possible at Elementary Schools in Surrey.

With Volleyball season just ending the sign up for Basketball starts later this week. Please stay tuned to this page for registration info for the season. The links will include registration for: teams, ABCs of Basketball coaching clinic, and the SEAS Basketball Referee's clinic. A HUGE THANK YOU to our new Basketball Convenor team of veteran Erik Henderson and rookie Rachel Baldry who will work hard supporting coaches throughout the Surrey School District. Our season will start in the new year and zone reps will have zone schedules out in late December or the early part of January 2013.

Soccer Playday Ribbon Update

Soccer Playday ribbons will be sent through courier to Kali Pinto, SEAS Soccer Convenor and will be late due to a clerical error. Kali will organize them and deliver them to the 15 host schools. We would appreciate it if host schools could send the correct ribbons to the schools they hosted once they receive them through the courier. Your assistance and understanding with this is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
